I love your enthusiasm to try stuff out, and applaud your making of a Pyrolysis rig out of scrap stuff, and especially for Doing It.
It is Wonderful, Exciting, Fun and really Good to see Stuff happen.
It isn't Science though is it ?
'Science' is your Next Step, where you present Evidence, and not just What You Did.
Get only 1 kind of Plastic, weigh it as best you can.
(ebay: 0.01g scales are dirt cheap)
Pyrolyse it, and measure, and write down everything you can : temperature(s), time, what you see, what you smell - everything !
e.g. weigh the water & collection vessel before & after. The difference is how much stuff you got. If you see smokey stuff coming out of the
collection vessel, note the time, temperature and what it looks like, what colour it is.
Do it like that and many people here can analyse and work out stuff from what You Did that neither you nor i could dream of (yet).

I totally agree, but at the time as I said, I just wanted to see if some useful fuel could be made and I didn't bother weighing and analysing product
and materials used.
When I'll try it next time I'm sure I'll document everything. I'll test only one plastic at once, take pictures, write down all weight data, color,
smell...
I bought one of those scales long time ago on ebay, but it didn't last (worked only for 5min and then didn't want to turn on, now it turns on only if
you let it sit untouched for long time and even then only for half minute).

I tend to want to 'just do it' as well.
Experience has shown me that by NOT measuring stuff and writing stuff down, i get Lucky one time, and cannot reproduce the same result ever ever again
!
Maybe a camera/voice recorder would be better.

Trying to promote the Scientific MethodTM on an 'amateur science' forum, huh? We'll have none of that newfandangled nonsense
here, Sir! Next someone will claim pure substances contain 'chemical elements' (and not earth, wind and fire... and phlogiston...) in fixed
ratios! They chopped that rebel Antoine Lavoisier's* head off for that. Halcyon days!
More of this behaviour from you Sir and I will have to pick up my finest quill and lodge a formal complaint with the Honourable President of our
Society.
* Oh, no, wait... it was because he was a tax collector!

cracking of plastic
I found this topic:
http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=62720
Is there another possible way to crack plastic? for example using catalyst?

Heat is a cheap and easy to obtain catalyst.
Others things might work.
Try some things and see.e.g. Al powder.

Toluene is an excellent solvent of plastics. I'm sure you could dissolve a polystyrene/styrene, ABS, ect... into a liquid, and separate the components
from there.
Benzine, and Xylene may work for you as well.
They tried to have me "put to sleep" so I came back to return the favor.

I think the OP is looking for a way to decompose the polymer into it's bits rather than dissolve it.
Hard to tell.
Very random and non-specifiec question really.
e.g. Which plastic ? What kind of cracking ?
Could be just making a crack in some random plastic, or a question about how to make crack cocaine out of a random plastic, or a physics question
about how to crack the equation that could predict the polymerisation sequence.
Personally i have no idea which with the data supplied.

Oh... To make crack you need a fry pan, some road flares, baby aspirin, and three cups of GOOD quality English tea.
Either the baby aspirin or the tea contain crack. Babies and brits are soooo messed up. It's hard to know which has it.
Seriously,I thought you meant separation thru distillation (cracking) of some random plastic. Liquefying it would seem a logical step.
They tried to have me "put to sleep" so I came back to return the favor.

It is nice but what if some halo-carbons get into it and makes the exhaust fumes corrosive and possibly make phosgene. And can the oil polymerise into
the tubing?
