Sauron:
Which anniversary have you in mind?

It's my wife's birthday April 20

Also Adolf Hitler's birthday.

Somehow I doubt you had either in mind.

But it's really the entire thread that's funny. Polverone starts a thread on not to start flame wars, (heated) non-chem arguments,... and what does it turn into? exactly that!

The sad part is, I don't think he's quite 'dead' yet. So far he's had how many attempted incarnations? nijazmuratovic, softosfera, Nijaz, The.PhD.Chemist, vulture-admin-is-a-gay (particularly enjoyed the response to this one - see Detritus)...

Although his posts are often hilariously misinformed, I do enjoy countertrolling him.

But the most fun part about it is that he is from Bosnia iirc. I can recognize some of the balkan mindset in his posts and that makes it even more funny, yeah vulture-admin-is-a-gay was one of the best :))

by the way. what has happened to the porn quality on this forum?
http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=24908&...
under here used to be 2 pics of a pretty blonde chem teacher who had had a little accident, shredding her blouse... very innocent and funny, got removed because it was ''porn'' a few posts down is 1man1jar that still stands... YUCK!

PS: if anybody can give me a link as to where i can find those 2 pics again I will be extremely grateful.
A blonde teacher is mixing 2 things together with a blackboard and equations behind her on the first picture, on the second her face has soot on it, as well as a very surprised expression. her blouse is tattered, her hair is sticking straight up an the glass on the bench is shattered

This thread was beautiful (in my opinion) but short-lived. I think it should be moved to Whimsy, so that further discussion may continue, since it contained both an interesting and informative discussion that I'd like to take place in as well as a very entertaining sideshow. Ok, well, the entertaining part really started out as the central point, but eventually it became mostly serious.

Whether it's a well-crafted joke/troll, this one by AsocialSurvival has made me laugh harder than anything else I've found here:

I'm wondering, if you flush out O2 with propane, will that work to prevent the lithium from reacting or will it just introduce side reactions?

Aga, you can keep it indefinitely, actually. You just might need to wash it with sodium bicarbonate and redistill/dry it, but that's way less work than starting from scratch again.

If that keeps bothering you, you can just get rid of the "s" in "https" on the URL.
