Preparing primary amines from secondary amines?
Is it possible, to convert a secondary amine to a primary one?
I am pondering on a possible easy synthesis of ethyl and methylamine, using phospham, PNH, as this produces secondary amines from the corresponding
primary alcohol.

Methylamine can easily be made from OTC chemicals such as hexamine. For ethylamine see the ethyliodide thread... |
