It isn't just the communications of individuals that have been made subject to unlawful and unconstitutional domestic espionage, "authorized" under the subversive "patriot act" in the name of "state security", but businesses have had all of their records massively copied, archived, and searched too.

Computers and cameras are everywhere.

If you go into Walmart and buy a box of ammo with your credit card you can probably be assured that NSA now knows that you are a gun owner.

To check your mental state see which drugs you purchased
at the drug store.

Data from business is probably more useful and has less legal protection. It also appears that the businesses are keeping quite. They are ordered to and it would hurt their sales if folks knew they were handing over this information.

If you are really interesting, they can find you if you pay with cash. Many stores have cameras recording all the transactions and your photo and finger prints are recorded as part of your drivers license. With face recognition software the whole process could be automated.

You have to wonder how effective this process is. Sophisticated terrorists probably know stuff this already and would find ways to avoid it. However it would be a great way to identify potential threats and request more money to investigate them further.

Top secret documents illustrate what Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court FISA
actually does – and does not do , when purporting to engage in ' oversight ' over
the NSA's domestic spying. That process lacks many of the safeguards that Obama ,
the House Republicans , and various media defenders of the NSA are trying to lead
the public to believe exist.

Democratic senators such as Ron Wyden and Mark Udall spent years asking the
NSA: how many Americans are having their telephone calls listened to and emails
read by you without individualized warrants ? Unlike the current attempts to
convince Americans that the answer is ' none ', the NSA repeatedly refused to
provide any answers.

Contrary to the claims by NSA defenders that the surveillance being conducted is
legal , the Obama Department Of Justice has repeatedly thwarted any efforts to
obtain judicial rulings on whether this law is consistent with the Fourth Amendment
or otherwise legal. Every time a lawsuit is brought contesting the legality of
intercepting American's communications without warrants , the Obama Department
Of Justice raises claims of secrecy , standing and immunity to prevent any such
determination from being made.

The FBI is investigating whether the highly protected and segregated computer
systems that store the secret court warrants authorizing electronic surveillance
inside the United States have been breached.

www.guardian.co.uk/world/interactive/2013/jun/06/verizon-tel...

Those who receive the warrant are not allowed ' to disclose to any other person
' except to carry out its terms or receive legal advice about it , and any person
seeing it for those reasons is also legally bound not to disclose the order.
Lawmakers and staff lawyers on the House and Senate intelligence committees
can only view the warrants in the presence of Justice Department attorneys ,
and are prohibited from taking notes on the documents.

Witness to Nazification

They Thought They Were Free
By Milton Mayer ( excerpts )

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people , little by little , to being
governed by surprise ; to receiving decisions deliberated in secret ; to believing that the
situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the
people could not understand , or so dangerous that , even if he people could understand
it , it could not be released because of national security. And their sense of identification
with Hitler , their trust in him , made it easier to widen this gap and reassured those who
would otherwise have worried about it.

To live in this process is absolutely not to be able to notice it , unless one has a much
greater degree of political awareness , acuity , than most of us had ever had occasion
to develop. Each step was so small , so inconsequential , so well explained or, on
occasion ,' regretted ,' that , unless one were detached from the whole process from
the beginning, unless one understood what the whole thing was in principle , what all
these ' little measures ' that no ' patriotic German ' could resent must some day lead
to , one no more saw it developing from day to day than a farmer in his field sees the
corn growing.

Pastor Niemoller spoke for the thousands and thousands of men like me when he spoke
and said that , when the Nazis attacked the Communists , he was a little uneasy , but ,
after all , he was not a Communist , and so he did nothing : and then they attacked the
Socialists , and he was a little uneasier , but , still , he was not a Socialist , and he did
nothing ; and then the schools , the press , the Jews , and so on , and he was always
uneasier , but still he did nothing. And then they attacked the Church , and he was a
Churchman , and he did something - but then it was too late."

Each act , each occasion , is worse than the last , but only a little worse. You wait for
the next and the next. You wait for the one great shocking occasion , thinking that
others , when such a shock comes , will join with you in resisting somehow. You don't
want to act , or even to talk alone ; it is not just fear of standing alone , that restrains
you ; it is also genuine uncertainty.

You're told , ' It's not so bad ' or ' You're seeing things ' or ' You're an alarmist.'
And you are an alarmist. You are saying that this must lead to this , and you can't prove it.
These are the beginnings , yes ; but how do you know for sure when you don't know the
end , and how do you know , or even surmise , the end ? On the one hand , your enemies ,
the law , the regime , the Party , intimidate you. On the other , your colleagues pooh-pooh
you as pessimistic or even neurotic.

A towering figure largely unremembered now , Telford Taylor

" Between 2001 and 2012 , judges of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court
( FISA ) approved 20,909 surveillance and property search warrants - an average
of 33 a week. During that 12-year period , the judges denied just 10 applications.
Prosecutors withdrew another 26 applications.

Blocking servicemen from viewing publicly outed secrets is ' network hygiene '.
If that's anything like ' racial hygiene ' we got trouble.

www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jun/28/us-army-blocks-guardian...

" the army is filtering some access to press coverage and online content about the NSA leaks "

" The army stressed its actions were automatic and would not affect computers outside military facilities."

" The department does not determine what sites its personnel can choose to visit while on a DoD system,
but instead relies on automated filters that restrict access based on content concerns or malware threats,"

" The DoD is also not going to block websites from the American public in general,"

" The Department of Defense routinely takes preventative measures to mitigate
unauthorized disclosures of classified information onto DoD unclassified networks."

The only ones kept in the dark is the American public and mostly the servicemen.
Doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Europeans surely feel that way about PRISM !

Interesting counterintelligence

That there exists collaboration in the sharing of intelligence is nothing new ,
so nothing new is ' revealed '. However it does afford an opportunity to cast
doubt on the sources of similar information. The conclusion we are led to is
that wackos are the Guardian's news sources. Wackos we might add , at the
service of the government precisely to be ' weird ' and taint by association
anything that it wants suppressed or discredited. Slimy scum bags.

Remeber what I said _
Truth is elemental , it cannot be created nor destroyed , it can only
be suppressed or adultered. Precluded from doing the former , one
can only perpetrate the latter.

I must use tor bundle browser to go around, I am even on it right now on this site. My government may have tapped my internet connection for a reason I cannot tell now but this is effective way to avoid it. My friend know guy who works in the office and he discussed and told that tapping anyone's internet traffic is just a matter of single phone call.

Virtual security can easily be gained with using fully encrypted computers, tor network, high quality firewall, linux-based OS, etc. No NSA or other shitty-hitty will sneek on your traffic when it has been encrypted with strongest algorithms there are. I believe, because of this, it is even a good thing because when people get aware, companies will start to offer high security services for people and people will get them and soon everything in internet is encrypted and the governments are out once again.

Chris Hedges lawsuit on NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act)
www.youtube.com/embed/x8vSMY_m1Vk

Ruling injunction ( opinion and order )
http://info.publicintelligence.net/NDAA-PermanentInjunction.pdf

United States District Court , Southern District of New York
grants plaintiffs’ motion and permanently enjoins enforcement
of § 1021(b)(2) of the NDAA (referred to herein as “§ 1021(b)(2)”).
Pg. 12
The Constitution places affirmative limits on the power of the Executive
to act , and these limits apply in times of peace as well as times of war.
See , e.g., Ex parte Milligan , 72 U.S. (4 Wall.) 2 , 125-26 ( 1866 ).
Heedlessly to refuse to hear constitutional challenges to the Executive’s
conduct in the name of deference would be to abdicate this Court’s
responsibility to safeguard the rights it has sworn to uphold.
Pg. 111
The Government did not put forward any evidence at trial that it needed
the statute for law enforcement efforts; in contrast, plaintiffs did present
evidence that First Amendment rights have already been harmed and will
be harmed by the prospect of § 1021(b)(2) being enforced.
The public
has a strong and undoubted interest in the clear preservation of First
and Fifth Amendment rights.

The practice of amateur science is rendered silly and inconsequential tripe
at the prospect of despotism prevailing throughout the world , vanquishing
all human culture. Anyone feeling a lack of control in their life , comes from
having made little or no effort to construct one of self choosing , accepting
the appearance of the rule of law without obstructing it by counteraction.

" The time is now near at hand which must probably determine , whether
Americans are to be , Freemen , or Slaves ; whether they are to have any
property they can call their own ; whether their Houses , and Farms , are
to be pillaged and destroyed , and they consigned to a state of wretchedness
from which no human efforts will probably deliver them. The fate of unborn
millions will now depend , under God , on the courage and conduct of this army "
— Gen. George Washington, to his troops before the battle of ( Brooklyn ) Long Island

" Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization.
- the life of the world may move forward into broad , sunlit uplands.
But if we fail , then the whole world , including the United States ,
including all that we have known and cared for,
will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age "
— Winston Churchill — June 18 1940

40 years later and the same old shit.

On 21 September 1970 , Allende had been declared victor of clean elections ,
but before he took over the presidency , after a fruitless effort by Chilean
conservatives and their US allies to have the victory declared unconstitutional ,
Edward Korry , the US ambassador in Santiago , reported to Henry Kissinger ,
the foreign strategist of President Richard Nixon: " Once Allende comes to
power we shall do all within our power to condemn Chile and the Chileans
to utmost deprivation and poverty."

excerpted from here _
www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/07/chile-coup-pinochet-al...

Unilateral military intrusion into another country's internal affairs is anarchy ,
not order under international law. It's the predominance of rule by gangsters.
A world of united nations which tacitly assents preemptive military force has
failed to perform its primary purpose , to keep the peace. Primary evidence
that a ' One World Government ' will scourge the just existence of nation states.
Barry Soetoro , Nobel peace prize winner , cannot contain his jingoist imperative
for a pretext to have yet another war to replace the ones ongoing , which are
presently winding down. Whatever the pretext , it is the inane incipient shibboleth
that permits the legion of the morally bankrupt and intellectually destitute to rally
to an ill defined cause which they know not what it's for , all they know is what
they're against. The light of present day civilization is the reluctance of even the
sheeple in the headlights to give approval to the equivalent of a drive by shooting.

My cynical thought on this is that it is intended to kill off identified remnants of
the American military that could oppose the imposition of the federalist martial
police state here in the U.S.. Those U.S. states that could pose resistance and
field para military and police , can be marginalized without branch services support.
