Can you substitute ethanol with Isopropal for recrystalization?
I have been looking everywhere and cant seem to find the answer. I know for some jobs you can use isopropyl alcohol instead of methanol... But can you
recrystalize with isopropyl for ETN, and even RDX for that matter?
If you can, is it the same process as with ethanol?

Well...
Im not sure what you are asking, but I think you are asking if ETN and RDX can be recrystallized from isoproply alcohol instead of methanol. Short
answer is yes, you can actually recrystallize it from a variety of solvents. I know from personal expirience that RDX dissolves quite easily in
acetone. The easyist way to find out is to look up the solubility of what ever solvent you want to use online. Other than that I dont know what else
to say, but next time do a little research!
