lysine from lysine hydrochloride, any clean method ?

Can anybody suggest a method to isolate Lysine from Lysine hydrochloride ???
for example neutralization of hydrochloride with bases (like potassium carbonate) in water gives free lysine with potassium chloride salts, is there any other method which gives pure lysine alone either as a solid or as a solution in water without any contamination with inorganic salts.

Use freshly prepared moist silver oxide. which results in a precipitate of AgCl.

Use hot alcohol solution of the amino acid salt, stir with a several-fold excess of K2CO3, then cool. The excess carbonate will absorb the water, K2CO3 and KCl are both only slightly soluble in alcohol.
