Pthalides

Hi,

Anyone have information regarding the isolation of pthalides from celery oil via column chromatography. Ive searched the obvious places with no avail. I need a good starting point.

Thanks

I think you might have better luck searching is you spell the name correctly

phthalides - not pthalides

If I am not mistaken.

Hope this is helpful

Sorry, that's just a typo, had it in my clipboard as that from a google search and just pasted it out of laziness.

that's a difficult spelling for the vendors too. I had to order dibutyl phthalate and the vendors search rejected it until I simply entered, "phthalate." The phthalates and phthalides are ubiquitous in environmental analyses ...I didn't know they were in celery oil though.
