Glas-Col tube furnaces...
Well not exactly, but I did notice that Glas-Col will custom manufacture a heating mantle to your specifications.
I figure a pyrex or vycor tube with some ground glass joints on the ends, a custom made mantle, and a variac and your good to go for up to 450C!
Thoughts?

I had one long ago it's a large cylinder with a small hole for the tube to go through, the green machine, mounted on a control box with a thermocouple
and a gauge for temp with a temp regulator, they seem to work good but I found it to be a very slow and sloppy way to produce ketones at that time
they cost at that time $1200.........solo

A "heating tape" would be more suitable for that purpose. Check this link:http://www.horst.de/english/Heizb_ko.htm
These are also sold by Aldrich (approx. 100 Euros a piece). They go to 450 oC.
