Search Engine software
Does anyone know of any personal search engine software which indexes "no index" meta-tagged html files?

What I want is software that can search for FTP sites, and display their contents and log-in details. Is there such an animal? Google can only search
for HTTP sites.

I think Mac OSX Tiger does this and the information is available through the Spotlight application. I doubt if that helps if you don't have a Mac. It
is supposed to search even compressed files and even some other exotic formats. I really should read those magazines they send me
