Any info on endosulfan synthesis?

Besides my fascination chemicals that produce horrible biologic effects, I'd be interested to see just how this insecticide was made. Anybody have any info or a patent?

Edit: was going to attach an image, but I don't know what setup this board uses for posting images and whatnot.

interesting..

very interesting.

i assume:

reppe process (C2H2 + HCHO + catalyst) for butynediol, hydrogenates to butenediol

calcium adipate can be pyrolized to cyclopentanone. but can this be used to make the cyclopentadiene or is there another/simpler way?

i dont have my pdfs on this comp but it seems cyclohexanone/ol can be oxidized to adipic acid with 30%H2O2/H2WO4 or Cu/NH4VO3/HNO3

just adding fuel to the discussion
