If 2,4-D is still available there, that might work.

Otherwise, Google for "auxin analogs".

2,4 D Amine is still available. However it selectively targets broadleaf weeds.

Don't know of any herbicide that slows down grass growth, only kills it.

Poast in a very low rate might suppress it.

No, not the amine salt. I meant 2,4-D itself. Isn't it still available? I know it ain't banned like 2,4,5-T.

Yes, it will kill broadleafs (dicots in more scientific terminology), but he wanted to suppress grass growth, so that should work.

Sethoxydim (Poast), I don't think so. Its mech, IIRC, is to mess around with fatty acid synthesis, so it's just going to shut down metabolism and wilt the grass.

P.S. I didn't want to answer his question at once since I hoped he'd UTFSE. ;)

Way back when radar was new the display format wasn't the nice polar diagram you get now, it was just a plot of received signal strength on the vertical axis versus echo time. Any noise in the system would show up as random spikes on the display. This was refered to as grass.

The circuit that removed it was called

a lawnmower. :)
