cyanuric chloride storage

I have searched the forum and found nothing about this.

The following link says that cyanuric chloride should be stored in a refrigerator, and I am wondering if this is truly the case. I would imagine it would be due to "undergoes reactions with water, acetic acid, and ethanol above room temperature.", and moisture within the bottle would easily be involved in a reaction, but to what extent I am not sure.

Any advice?

Nevermind. I am finding that it is recommended that it be stored +4C.

I have cyanuric chloride and do not store it in a refrigerator. I store it in a room, which can have a temperature anywhere between 10 C in winter and over 30 C in summer. I, however, have it stored in an EXTREMELY well sealed bottle with GL45 cap and teflon liner in the cap. The material is nearly as good as when I purchased it, which is appr. 5 years ago. So, you can store it in a normal room, but you have to assure that the container is very well sealed.

The stuff smells very peculiar and can be smelled at very low concentrations, it is as if you have a lot of mice around in your house. With my extremely well sealed bottle, however, there is no such smell at all. Only when I do an experiment with it and I need to open the bottle, I have that typical mouse-smell in my lab for a few hours.

Thank you, woelen!

This gives me confidence that I can go ahead and grab some without having to worry about going to extremes with storing it.
