easiest nitrated materials

A lots of amateur home-chemists, is not going to have a really access of some acids like concentrated H2SO4/HNO3 (like me) so we must find a way to manufacture them or any substitute of them.
I have successfully made some ETN with perfect yields (26g of ETN for every 15g of E) with boiled battery acid as H2SO4 and AN as a source of HNO3, but other stuffs need as concentrated and pure as possible H2SO4/HNO3 to nitrate them.
I have somewhere saw, here on this forum, that ethylene glycol is very easy to nitrate, more than erythritol, but i have still not try that.
So, what other options we have to nitrate with common materials like those, to give you good yields ?
