HEPA air filtered work bench

Hi All,

I have a hard disk failure and had the notion that I may be able to purchase a HD of the exact same make and model and simply! swap in the platter and Robert will be my fathers Uncle.
I need a clean room to do this which I do not possess.
Having worked in a place where they had a simpe HEPA filtered work bench for 'doing stuff' with petri dishes (no bacteria or dust allowed), I though perhaps a similar device might do the job I am looking to do. Has anyone here any info. on where to obtain a cheap high grade HEPA filter. It would need to be at least two feet by one foot. Would such a 'clean bench' be clean enough for swapping in HD platters.
Haveing this type of work done professionally costs an arm and a leg + a torso!!

To mods.
I am asking this in Micro because of the 'clean bench' part. Feel free to move the topic if you wish.

My shop vac and my house HVAC both use HEPA filters.
