An LED which radiates no thermal/infrared
It would have to be something else other than a diode/gate. Can't run on electrons, even if conductors AND SUBSTRATE are superconductive. Even if
they grew perfect crystals in space. What might that something else be? Just like an LED, running as if continuous wave, no q-switching. Ultra high
output does not damage the device, as the efficiency is ideal or near so. Just curious if there's anyone out there with such an interest, and if so,
plz suggest some very modern...

Impossible. All objects above 0*K emit thermal, in some amount.
What would be the need of a device which fits this bill?

don't be duped by the widely held belief, that 0 Kelvin is only ideal.
I agree with even state of art science, that is the apparent case.
Uses? Very HI, efficient illumination with various dual/use applications.
HI as in HID

" What might that something else be ? "
- imaginary
" various dual/use applications "
- an invisibility shroud

Black body radiation need only match it's background to be indistinguisable.
If it is less it would appear as a cold region , unless it is also completely
transparent without refracting. See first comment.
