Santa's gift arrived safe and sound in 3 January. I was lucky enough to find the envelope still dry in the mailbox amidst the rainy season (apparently
we have one such season now). I wanted to sort out my own issues before reporting the arrival.
And the issues were sorted out, of course! I finally managed to buy a gift and it will reach my Santee next week. It may get to see some use pretty
soon, if we're to judge by how the weather is going there. My apologies for the lateness.
I wanted to send some local foodstuff but international postal regulations wouldn't permit it. Our Postal "let-us-see-how-fragile-it-is" Service would
also find a way to mangle it beyond recognition before it reached customs, that occasionally happens here; or worse, they'd eat it, that also
occasionally happens here.
One more thing. I found out why eBay wouldn't accept my card: it is a national card. Sometimes the obvious slips by unnoticed, specially when the
letters are so tiny.

My gift arrived a while ago, and I regret not saying anything earlier, but I want to thank my Santa for a wonderful gift! I received a bunch of very
unique mineral samples, clearly from a collection that took a while to amass, and each sample was labeled with its origin. Very interesting! My family
had a fun time going through all of the samples and their origin together. It's amazing what variety of minerals the earth can produce - I think I
read at the Museum of Natural History that the Earth is expected to have a far greater variety of minerals than any other known place in the universe,
thanks to the combination of biological processes, geological processes, and the action of water.
Really fascinating to see all of it, and thanks for sharing a little bit of your collection!
