This is a brand new development if they have. I had been watching iodine forever. Even ordered once and it never arrived. Lugolsnaturals.com still has it in prills. They claim to have any amount up to 1000g.

You can’t claim you drank all day if you didn’t start early in the morning.

Looks like they have. I just checked, and can’t find a single seller.

Potassium iodide has been easier to find in the past, but it seems to be becoming less available as well. I have over a kg available though, if anyone is interested in stocking up.

Etsy has it for me, but availability perhaps depends on your location.

Can't vouch for chemicals, but used Etsy for other hard to get stuff e.g. radium dial clocks, autunite etc., and sellers were great.

I finally gave up on trying to buy iodine. Instead I bought a kilo of potassium iodide from Amazon for $120 or so, enough to make all the iodine I’ll probably ever need, and I needed potassium iodide anyway.

The prills are much better because they don’t sublimate away nearly as fast. That’s one of the problems with making your own iodine, storing it. I tried melting into solid chunks under sulfuric acid, but some acid invariably gets trapped inside.

Looks like they tried, but I still found a few listings based on one of my past purchases:

"Sample Iodine crystals reagent about 250g ultra pure 99.9% factory Outlet"

But yeah, making your own is not too difficult.

I only found the 50g variant. The 250g is gone. Too bad because it was real cheap.
