I am about to start working on a small hammer mill for crushing ore; there are two designs I see a lot online. One having hammers that are free to
move (usually short chains on DIY builds) and ones with static hammers which are basically just steel bars welded to the shaft. I'm wondering if
there's any significant pros/cons of either design. I feel like using statistic bars would be a little easier to build and get balanced so it's really
just down to which is more effective.
