Does anyone in Europe have some 5N or 6N Iron?

Hello,

I'm looking for elemental iron, 5N or 6N, in any form.

I'd need between 200g and 1Kg.

I can exchange it against electrolytic Zinc, or 99.995% Zinc Powder or 5N copper pellets for instance. Or maybe some glassware (though I only have rather standard stuff there).

Maybe you could try to look for carbonyl iron produced by decomposition of pentacarbonyl iron. Ask for the specification e.g. here:

Thanks for the tip! Is it distilled? I sent an email to enquire. Would be great if it's 5-6N.

As a general rule when I find an exceptionally good quality element I try to get a good price for a big quantity which I then can exchange from against good quality stuff of other elements (if we all do so we all win, because we thus all pay volume price while only getting smaller quantities; and it promotes human exchange).

Yes, pentacarbonyl iron is fairly volatile. I thought that was the whole point why you suggested the carbonyl iron might be of high purity.

Carbonyl iron is used to make iron of high purity ;)

We can offer iron powder with 99.995% purity (4N5).
Carbon free.

Thank you! I put it on my list (it is though too expensive for me right now due to the consequences of having corrupt politicians serving a huge sick transnational mafia here in the west).

If the EUR:RUB exchange rate goes back to 0.07 I will strongly consider that option an making a small stack of it.
