Reversible reaction of Cu(II)-tartrate complex with H2O2
Hi.
I came across this video yesterday.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEUNgE-Knvs
Interesting is, that Cu2O can be reoxidized back to Cu(II) by H2O2, which after a while reacts again with H2O2 to form Cu2O. I tried to find some
reaction mechanism, but I didn't find anything. I guess that there are some radicals involved, two reactions pathways, but I don't know what exactly
going on.
