Brown Algae and agar
I was walking through my hometown when I saw small (2-10cm diameter) "bushes" of brown algae growing on the moist soil. I am really not sure how this
managed to grow there as I never saw anything similar growing anywhere near me (I am really nowhere near the sea).
How is that actually possible?
Now, the brown algae looked something like that:
I would like to harvest them and make some agar if it's possible while they still grow, is there a procedure for that?
By the way, can I grow them somewhere? I am not sure how to plant them though.
