SM-10 melting point equipment
Does anyone have any experience of this model of Stewart melting point apparatus? About 2 weeks ago I was using it, it was in the process of ramping
up to plateau temperature, this take some time so I left it to stabilize. When I returned about 10 minutes later the display was flashing "888",
thinking it had overheated or something I switched it off and left it to cool. An hour later it would not switch on at all, not even the power light
comes on! The only think I can test is the plug fuse on the lead and that is OK. Any ideas what might be wrong and if it is fixable?
