durable adhesive for rubber
i have a pair of sneakers and the soles are wearing out. the tops are still good though and i'd rather not throw them away. i want to glue a sheet of
butyl rubber to the soles but i don't know of a flexible durable adhesive. could someone tell me if this is possible and which adhesive might work
best.

Try E6000. It dries to a clear flexible and rubbery consistency.
Edit: It also claims to be waterproof, tho I have not tried using in water.

the glue in bicycle repair kits should work nicely too, but you will need to put then in a clamp/vice for a few hours.
