Microscale vacuum distilation can be a pain and often lead to low yields...

Problem here would be that the slightest bit of bumping and the sample your collecting will be contaminated. I prefer to have the glass vial after
the condenser in the more traditional way. You can chill the collection flask to help with the collection.

well that is a factor that would have to be dealt with.. the thing here was to make the yield higher when working with tiny quantities

I have used this type of apparatus for microscale distillations with good results.
Amounts have been >1ml though. Might be too big for <1ml.
