I'm trying to pick up a good, low-cost but high-quality condensor. (immediate use would be condensing nictric acid)

If not, can somone please suggest a better one? I'm getting back into this after 15 years, so I'm rather rusty.... no equipment at all atm...

That's not a proper condenser, but rather a cold trap used to keep vapours from getting into vacuum pumps.
this is more what you want:

Graham and allihn condensers are meant to be used in the vertical position

Kinda crappy quality, but damn sure does a good job and is cheap. I got a 400mm one... LOVE IT.
