test tube rack

here is a rough first draft of my question

the way to design an experiment would be to say have a 10x10 hole test tube holder, this would give 100 different tests.. By changing the amount of 1 or 2 variables (amounts of reactant) one could determine the optimal amount for product formation.

In an example, there is solution a, solution b, and solution c, -- when they come together in the right ratio a product forms

In the first test tube I would add mostly solution a, then half solution b, and half acid

what would I do for the remaning test tubes to find the ideal amounts of each of the three chemicals to add?

or how would the above be gone about?

The idea is already in use

Why not change the tittle of this thread to, "spot plate"?
