Actually, Richard Nakka is a KN guy, I don't think he even mentions AN on his site!
AN is extremely hygroscopic, but the main problem is expansion/contraction of the grain due to phase changes occurring at normal operating
temperatures. Phase stabilisation by the addition of certain chemicals can overcome this problem!
Nakka deals with KN/sucrose/dextrose/sorbitol/epoxy compositions.
