Nitrite from bacteria

dealing with perodic plugs of nitrite that where not converted to nitrate by Nitrobacter bacteria has the officicals, bosses, supervisors, concerned at the ole work place.....

looking into the matter you can find quickly that there are two types of bacteria that nitrify urea or NH3

Nitrosospira sp coverts stuff to nitrite....

and Nitrobacter takes NO2 further to NO3

as i read some of the older posts regarding nitrite making here, there seemed to be some purity issues and over oxidation issues...

i am now very intersted in obtaining a monoculture of
Nitrosospira.....
