order of N,N-dimethylaniline

I hope I've erred not in posting this here.

I ordered N,N-dimethylaniline from a chemical supplier yesterday and today they have called back requesting to speak about the order as it will be drop shipped from the manufacturer and is a poison.

Two years ago they processed my order for phosphorus trichloride with little fuss other than a credit card issue; they were given my parent's business name with my parents' permission though the business was situated in a residential address.
For the curious, the N-N dimethylaniline will be used as a solvent according to a couple of chemistry journal articles in my posession among other things.
On this occasion, if I respond on the N-N dimethylaniline order what do you think they are likely to ask?

Can't you do it from aniline and methyl iodide?

I am likely going to consider that, though I do know if I could place an order for aniline or find a source; I'll need 1L of dimethylaniline eventually.

don't know

What do you want the dimethylaniline for? Perhaps there is an alternative reagent/solvent you could use?

I want the dimethylaniline as a base in obtaining o-amnio benzylamine derivatives from analogs of n,n-bis-(2-chloroethyl)-phosphoramidic chloride and in forming methyl violet 10B.

Update

I e-mailed the chemical supplier and found out they simply wanted reaffirmation of the credit card; this information was given and 20 minutes later I looked at my online credit card statement and found a deduction caused by the order; no shipping charges were levied yet and, of course, the product has not yet shipped.

Thanks for the responses.:)
