I need help about electrocemical extraction of alkaloids..

Who know for any procedure on net or know anything about this method??

Thanks for your advice ;)

Abstract
The process of extracting ephedra herbage in a constant electric field has been studied. It has been shown that the application of an electric field considerably accelerates the isolation of the alkaloid molecules from the cellulose of the plant raw material. The main kinetic characteristics of the electroextraction of the total alkaloids as functions of various factors have been obtained.

Dynamics of the accumulation of the alkaloids of Reseda luteola structure of lutine and lutinine

Chemistry of Natural Compounds Volume 13, Number 6 / November, 1978

Summary
The qualitative and quantitative changes in the composition of the combined bases inReseda luteola during the vegetation periods have been studied. From the epigeal part of the plant we have isolated cinnamamide and two new alkaloids: lutine and lutinine. A study of the spectral characteristics and the mechanism of fragmentation has shown that lutine has the structure of 2-anilino-1,4-naphthoquinone and lutidine that of 4-anilino-2-phenylamino-1,2-dihydronaphthalen-1-one.

The electrochemical extraction of alkaloids of the tropane group from plant raw material
E. A. Vdoviko, S. A. Pokhmelkina and V. V. Petrenko
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Volume 8, Number 3 / May, 1974

Summary
1. Alkaloids of the tropane group have been isolated fromAtropa belladonna, Datura stramonium, andScopolia carniolica by the electrochemical method.
2. The amount of alklaloids passing into the catholyte depends on the pH of the catholyte, the current density, and the time of electrolysis.

Springerlink is for registered members, i donĀ“t know..

Electrochemical methods are interesting way for extraction.. and new for me.

Solo thanks for a lot of publication. :o ;)

Note: Off topic for the sake of clarification to member

Yes the references given were for publications that one needs to buy or be a registered subscriber at Springer.......the references are pointers as to where to find the answer to your quest, then if you can't find the reference at your library and can't efford to pay the fee for the information, post your reference request in the reference forum under "Wanted References by members" then someone in the membership will try to help.

We all try to help each other with books, citations and information as a group we all give and by posting our research findings or sharing information of one's interest........of course there will always be takers, that only want help but never contribute.................solo.

Thanks, solo. I was going to see if I could find the articles today, but you've saved me the effort 8-)
