PrepChem.com

A couple of days ago there was reference, by aga I recall, to a website called PrepChem.com. It appears to be quite useful but I am reluctant to sign on because I cannot find out who is behind the site. What does anyone around here know about this site in terms of security and origins?

Bookmarked it.
Thanks.
Still interested in getting some feedback on the site though.

I know the site for quite a while now. Did some experiments from there, too.

As far as I have seen the site seems legit. The links and sources are from books and I checked
some of them and they really contain that information. Prepchem is quite unique since it focuses on
inorganic chemistry, too. There aren't many books on preparative inorganic chemistry besides anyltical books.
So quite usefull and as far as I have seen there wasn't anything wrong till now.

If you are not sure about something follow the link or source and check the literature.

I've been aware of this site for a couple weeks, and it has some decent syntheses. All of what I've browsed has literature references, many of which are books available in the forum library.

Have you not had a look at "Handbook of preparative inorganic chemistry" by Brauer in the forum library? A personal favourite is"Inorganic Syntheses", plenty of good preps in there.
