Need some help with electronic scrap

Comrade - 25-11-2015 at 01:29

Hello, guys!
I have some electronic scrap (old electronic equipment out of former Soviet Union times)
and need to refine some gold from the contacts. Please, give me a good advice about this kind of equipment http://www.ishor.com/refining-and-recovery/refining-systems-...
It's rather expensive and I'm not sure how it worth the money? Are there any alternatives?

Thank you for your answers! I'll wait with ishore staff, need some more knowledge first.
Sorry for lame question: how do you detect how much gold there are in equipment or on the electronic board? When I look at the scrap, I'm really not sure which parts can be used for refining.

The gold-looking ones? I doubt there's a way to 'detect' the coating thicknesses, you'd probably have to consult a technical manual on the parts for specifications and even then it might be hard to find. Try a small scale trial run with one or two boards and see what you come up with. Personally I'd avoid expensive refining kits until you know you have scrap that's actually worth the effort.
