Rate Question Confusion

billybob - 2-6-2015 at 14:39

Hey everyone I am a little confused with something: would 22 seconds be 0.22 or just 22 when used in calculations? For example, if i have to find the rate (molarity/sec). Lets say 0.0005 M (molarity) / 22 = 0.00002272727
OR
0.0005 M / 0.22 = 0.00227272727
Which would be correct?

22 seconds is not 0.22 anything.

So would just 22 seconds be correct?

If you want your rate to be in molarity per second, then you have to leave the 22 seconds as 22 seconds.
