Is it pure molybdenum, or some kind of alloy? There doesn't seem to be much information about it on there. Still, interesting find nonetheless.

I saw the same wire pop up on ebay about a year ago. I guess they use it to shear off the touch screens from I-phones, so they can replace 'em.

I have asked a few sellers about purity, but they didn't know. also I am not sure exactly why they use molybdenum, but the searches I tried, all just
led to an array of adds for the wire.

I have seen it around a lot on eBay. I haven't seen anyone post any qualitative information on it -- just that it is used for something to do with
mobile phone repair. I have refrained from buying any until I have a better idea as to what it is.
