I heard a long time ago about an energetic compound made from Ammonia (household), napthelene, Kayro corn syrup, etc. It was also shown somewhat in
the movie 'Terminator'. Anybody know what this is?

They don't generally tend to use explosive recipes that actually work in movies - after all, if they did use real methods, with litigation being the
way it is these days, they could probably be held liable for someone blowing themselves up using a recipe they saw in a movie.franklyn - 2-7-2006 at 22:45

Mix Amononium Hydroxide with Diesel Fuel until very thoughly mixed into a thin liquid,
then add gelatin, this is a gel explosive, work it until you feel it's the right thickness for
your work, you can get it thick enough to be solid, use waterproof fuses, with a little
Nitogen Tri-iodide at the end to make sure the stuff goes off with a good boom.
This is a very stable explosive, it is also 3 times more powerful than dynamite. A thin
wire with high voltage running through it in the gel makes a good detonater too.
