From the responses here, it does sound like the pure platinum wire is worth the extra cost. I'm seeing costs of around $10 an inch for 99.9% Pt #26
wire on E-Bay. I see the 92% platinum wire is much cheaper (not sure why) but I doubt this is good enough. |
