Newbie here to the foum with a quick question.............
I was wondering what happens when a chemical compound, in powder form for instance, when it is heated beyond its melting point?
I would assume it would change the physical state of the material (such as melting it down to a n oil or liquid), but would it actually change the
chemical propertiesof the substance?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Well, if it doesn't decompose, it's going to be the same thing going out that went in...
Fused salt tastes just as salty as when it started.

A little hot though.
Think about water and ice. They are different phases of matter, but that's about it.
