Yes I googled, but there are a lot of books and a lot of them covers theoretical, regulatory, environmental stuff. I need a book with a practical
point of view of how you store recovered solvents, solid waste, metallic waste, waste water in a safe manner. I dont want references about green
chemistry or how to treat waste in a waste management plant.
I found the laboratory waste management guide handbook by the ACS but I want to know if there is another authoritative work in this area.
Thank you

I have Prudent Practices for Disposal of Chemicals from Laboratories, 1983, National Academy Press that seems fairly decent. I got it used
through Abebooks, IIRC. It has 282 pp and covers:
1. Waste Management System for Laboratories
2. Identification, Classification, and Segregation of Laboratory Waste
3. Storage of Laboratory Waste
4. Recovery, Recycling, and Reuse of Laboratory Chemicals
5. Disposal of Chemicals in the Sanitary Sewer System
and 5 other chapters. I have to admit, however, that as a home chemist I have not used it a whole lot as I have not felt the need.

Thank you Magpie. The editor allows to surf through the pages of this book online but it does not give enough information about on-site waste
management.
