this really does not belong on this website but, does any know about cell phone chargers? I need to know whether ever cell phone model has a differnt
sized hole to stich the chatging cord inTaaie-Neuskoek - 1-9-2005 at 15:14
You bet they do! Most of the time, one can use one charger for the same trademark, so differend types aren't a problem most of the time, but in
between trademarks there is a jugle of differend voltages, conection plugs, etc etc.
Why need to know?moose sniffer - 1-9-2005 at 18:04
another crappy question is if i took a labtop's "power cord" and attatched the prongs that normally end up in a wall to a much weaker
power source would the laptop get charged?The_Davster - 1-9-2005 at 19:15
Weak AC-It will charge, but at a much much slower rate.
Weak DC- No charge will happen, as transformers( contained in laptop cord/adapter) do not work with DC.chromium - 1-9-2005 at 23:21

It may not charge at all with weak AC too . Most computer power supplyes (or adapters) are of switchmode type. Those are rather complex devices and
generally will not work outside specified input limits. Some of them just switch itself of if they find that anything is not as expected.saps - 2-9-2005 at 05:10
what would you say the lowest wattage would have to be?saps - 2-9-2005 at 05:24
and what would be the situation with recharging cell phones?moose sniffer - 2-9-2005 at 08:57
so i couldnt just conect a 12 volt / 1.2 watt power source to the end of a cell phone where the cell phone charger usually goes. Are you sure it
wouldnt just "trickle energy into the recheargeable batery?
