need some help finding papers on a subject

Little_Ghost_again - 11-10-2014 at 11:48

Hi
I am after looking for papers on making amino acids via soup in bowel.
Or to be more scientific I am looking for papers that detail the experiments that have been done to replicate the making of life on earth.
I know loads has been done and some managed to make amino acids etc. But I cant find anything that I can download in full.
I asked my dad but got a bad reception on this! some of it is in conflict with his papers, so he is a bit of a dead end

couple things I have found:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller%E2%80%93Urey_experiment

http://www.livescience.com/13339-primordial-soup-chemistry-r...

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20446873

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK22459/

I have no idea how useful these will be at all. it was just a quick search to try and help

Thanks
I have one particular one in mind but just cant remember the name of it!! We are on holiday for two weeks in Schools in Scotland, I have to do a project and wanted to do one based on the paper.
Looks like I better change my plan and pick something else.

Was/is your dad involved in this field of research?

No not that I know of.
I picked it because he hasnt done anything much in this way and because its kind of chemistry based and apparently you can simulate it to some extent fairly easily with a combustion pipette. Well you can set up apparatus to sort of show how it was done, its not easy to actually replicate there experiment but that wasnt my task. Mine was going to be try and simulate roughly how it was proved.

I am switching to something else, just not sure what!
I will probably do something with fruit flies now except the time scale is a bit too short
