Titanium powder

TheChemiKid - 5-6-2014 at 07:03

I have quite a bit more Titanium powder than I need, so I am interested in selling some of it in return for money, but I would prefer a trade for supplies. It is 120-200 mesh.
I am at school now, so I do not have pictures, but I can take some and upload them by the end of today.
I am selling a total of 2.5 pounds of the powder at these prices:
1 pound: $14 + shipping
1/2 pound: $8 + shipping
1/4 pound: $4.50 + shipping
10 grams: $0.54 + shipping

I do not have a working paypal now, but i will get one soon.

U2U me if you are interested

What mesh is the powder?
What supplies do you want?

It is 120-200 mesh and for the trade I prefer 24/40 ground glassware, but if that isn't good for you, you can make offers.

If you are in the USA I can trade you for some Hg. Interested?

Is this in the form of Titanium "sponge" from the last step of Kroll process refining, or is it the scrap from a fabrication operation?

TheChemiKid - 6-6-2014 at 18:04

@Praxichys: I would be interested and I am in the USA, but I will need to check with my parents.
@Bert: This is from 3 pounds of Titanium I got for free in a deal from Skylighters.

TheChemikid, I would be interested in the whole batch. If you could U2U me so we could work out the details. Thanks

OK- If it's Harry's "free offer" stuff, it works very well indeed for pyrotechnic uses.

For chemistry, be aware that it's probably got some Aluminum and Vanadium alloyed with it. In my experience, the aerospace alloy scrap powder actually burns better and with brighter/whiter sparks than the purer sponge products do.
