So I currently am serving out a 4 year contract in a less than career style job(it is fun and exciting though), I am looking to become a chemical
engineer over a chemist(as chemical engineer is a 4 year degree where chemist is 6) so I can get into the workforce ASAP. I am curious as to how
others may have gotten started in this field(school wise) and if there are online courses I can take that will help for when I actually attend school.
My schedule does not allow me to attend an actual school currently as I have little free time and many weeks I am completely unable to even get on the
internet due to work...Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Join LinkedIn free service and write up a good profile for yourself.
Browse the chemjobber blog and maybe ask your question there.
Have a look at the MIT online courseware.
But if you cannot manage your time to be able to work at advancing your career then you won't get very far.

I don't know if this is the best forum to post career questions.
You can try http://www.chemicalforums.com
More specifically, this section ==> Chemical Education.
A lot of people ask about career questions there.
