Hello,
I was wondering what would be a safe basic buffering agent for a glutathione solution. I saw in one write up that octylammonium orthophosphate would
be suitable. But, I was wondering if plane Jane ammonium phosphate would be acceptable?

My guess is yes. I did some cyclic voltammetry experiments with glutathione in sodium phosphate buffer a few years ago. I doubt the ammonium would
change things very much. Google "glutathione buffer cyclic voltammetry" or "glutathione buffer redox" or something like that. Should give you some
ideas.

Should be ok. I have very often used TRIS for buffering GSH solutions to around pH 8.0.
If you are using it for biochemistry/enzymatic experiments, do consider that some buffering agents can affect the activity of your enzyme. If an
unusual buffer is used in a paper, this could be the reason and you should be aware of that.
