I have tried several times to download both Mellor's Treatise of inorganic chemistry... and A textbook of Inorganic Chemistry volumes dealing with the
halogens but each time they appear to download in seconds but then you can't open them; the djvu and pdf readers respectively state that the file
appear corrupted or "page 3 cannot be decoded"
Has anyone else experienced these problems? If so can it be fixed or can someone point me to an alternative source?
I can download other volumes from both series without problem.

I used the free and very excellent program 'Free Download Manager'. Go download and install it and you will be able to grab a copy of any book in the
library.

Thanks guys. The Free download Manager is definitely the way to go, it worked a treat.
The preamble to the library has a reference to a command line operated program but its hopeless, pre-IT dark age stuff.
