I'm sure the quality will be okay, but the resolution here is only to 1 gram; for serious chemistry work, you'll probably want at least a centigram,
or worst case, a 0.1 gram, model. However, the capacity of this one is excellent but I'd prefer greater resolution over this in a lab.
