Is there any methods available ti identify whether the given organic solvent is acidic or basic.

OR tell me the PH range of Organic solvents

I want to make use of basic organic solovent for my condensation reaction. Which type can i use?

You can use amines (like isopropylamine), but they don't smell really good :D

Yes, it is very simple. You just compare their pKa values.

Should point out, the lower (smaller) the value, the greater the acidity.

Equally, the higher the value, the greater the basicity.

(Just be sure not to get the pKb, the base dissociation constant, which is essentially the reverse of above).
