I am thinking of synthesising cubane from a procedure found at: http://www.ch.ic.ac.uk/local/projects/b_muir/Cubane/Cubanepr... titeled "Improved Synthesis". The article mentioned a "Improved Decarboxylation
Method", which I am interested in. I am not sure if I can trust it, though, as some of the compounds shown in the decarboxylation do not even exist.
Dose anybody know what they meant?

It's the Barton radical decarboxylation:

It is widely used. It's a shame that they don't give the reference, but I'm sure that you could find it easily-enough.
