Is the mechanism of Epimerisation of the -OH at C10 of 10-hydroxycodeine known. Can someone elaborate. With different preparation of standard of
Codeine Impurity E (the manufacturer doesn't state if it is in alpha or beta form), different ratio of the alpha and beta form are detected on HPLC.
