I want to extract allicin from my bottle of allicin tablets. Tablets contain powdered allicin and the typical stabilizers, etc you would find in a
tablet like stearic acid, magnesium stearate, etc. What solvent should I use? What temperature, pressure, catalyst if any, etc would I need?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I would expect petroleum ether to do. But Wikipedia says allicin is unstable, breaking down within 16 hours at 23C. The tablets must stabilize it
somehow.

I would expect that the tablets probably contain what was once allicin, but not any allicin itself, due to its instability. There’s a low barrier
for truthfulness of ingredients in these “natural” supplements.
