Hello everyone
So I have this 1-nitronaphthalene with me. I am planning to reduce it to naphthylamine. I read somewhere that it's possible with Sn/HCl.
Do anyone have a written experimental method for that.

Hi vibbzlab, check out the SM site library and download one of the books on dye chemistry. I can't remember the title of the best one but is something
like "The chemistry of dye processes" by Fierz-Davis and someone else. its an English translation on the site library. I believe Vogel has the
reduction too.
Iron powder and a little HCl is what I generally try first id the amine is volatile in steam. I am not sure that 1-naphthylamine is but the references
above will help.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I will definitely try this out and record it

There are nitro reduction reactions in vogel, many internet preps and also in Organic Syntheses, the series.

be aware that both isomers are known carcinogens.
